This park is home to approximately 50 tigers, 100 plus leopards, 80 sloth bears, 31 species of reptiles, and 300 species of birds and 14 species are endangered. Zones In Satpura

Satpura National Park has Core Zones and Buffer Zones for safari rides. Core zones are strictly looked after and these zones protect wildlife and natural resources. Buffer zones are used by both people and nature. There are four core zones named Madhai, Bheemkund (Churna), Mallupura, and Panaarpaani (Pachmarhi). The buffer zones are named Burgodi (Pipariya), Jamani Dev, Paraspani, and Tamia Delakhari. Every zone has its entry gate.

Madhai Zone

Madhai is the most popular zone of this wild park and boat rides can also be done here. This zone has dense forest and various animals can be found here including tigers, leopards, and a variety of birds.

Pachmarhi Zone

This zone is famous for its beautiful hill station or waterfalls and caves. Trekking and nature walks are mostly enjoyed in this zone of the park.

Churna Zone

This zone has less crowd as compared to the famous Madhai zone. People can enjoy a thrilling safari in this zone in peace. This zone is good for spotting wild animals and also you can see the natural beauty of the surroundings.

Panaarpani Zone

This zone has lush greenery with various water bodies so a lot of migratory birds can be found here. If you’re coming to this park for bird watching then you should book a ride for this zone.
