How To Reach Satpura National Park

Satpura National Park is a wild tourist place that is located in the Hoshangabad area of Madhya Pradesh State in the Central part of India. You can reach this famous national park by flight, train, and by road.

By Train

There are many railway stations near Satpura such as Sohagpur, Hoshangabad, Itarsi & Pipariya. These are well connected to various areas. After reaching any of these, you can take a taxi or any local transport to reach the park.

By Air

This park is close to two airports. Either you can come to Bhopal airport or the Jabalpur airport. Bhopal airport is at a distance of 220kms and Jabalpur is around 265 km and you can easily find a taxi or bus from the airport to reach the park. You can also come to Nagpur to reach this park.

By Road

Satpura Tiger Reserve is a famous place and people can easily reach this park from neighboring places like Bhopal, Jabalpur, etc. The cities are at a distance of 170 km and 250 km. This wild park has three entrance gates. The first entrance of the park is close to Pachmarhi Hill station. The Second and most popular one is from Madhai Entrance gate which is about 100kms from Pachmarhi and is close to Sarangpur village. Third Entrance is best for those who are staying in MP: Tawa Resort located on Tawa Dam. This one is close to Narmadapuram town.
To reach the Satpura without any problem you should go in large cars with good ground clearance features as approaching roads is muddy, rough and often pose great problems during rainy seasons.
